The deceased man’s family and friends gathered for a memorial early this week to mourn the loss of the 37-year old who had been at his favorite bar, the Gold Coast, and on his way home when he was brutally attacked and left on a street corner near his home.

After searching for over a week for him, Mr. Estrada was located at Cedars-Sinai hospital registered as a John Doe – his fingers were too swollen on arrival to get good prints to identify him – in a coma with a broken shoulder, head trauma, pneumonia and heart issues.

The last his partner, Michael Shut said he heard from Ramon is a phone call at 1:45 on July 7 asking him to leave the door unlocked as Ramon had forgotten his keys.

According to records, 20 minutes after that phone call Ramon was in an ambulance on his way to the emergency room.

Found north of the intersection of Mansfield and Santa Monica Boulevard, just outside WeHo in Hollywood, he was discovered without a cell phone, wallet or ID.

Law enforcement is treating the matter now as a murder investigation.
