West Hollywood deputies shot an assailant last night on Palm Avenue.

West Hollywood deputies shot an assailant last night on Palm Avenue.

The 24-year old deceased man, whose identity has not yet been released, died from gunshot wounds after he and another attacker “lunged” at the deputies responding to the call, according to LA Sheriff deputy Crystal Hernandez.

The other man who lunged at deputies was not hit by the deputies’ fire, she said.

Upon tending to the wounded man, deputies heard a scuffle going on in the apartment, and entering found two men, one choking the other. They broke that conflict to find that both had suffered knife wounds.

A large knife was found at the scene.

All three men are expected to survive, said Dep. Hernandez.

The event took place in the very same apartment building in which Andre Davids allegedly attacked and killed Kurtland Ma on March 29 in a lovers’ quarrel.

Mr. Davids, age 36, was charged with his murder. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
