Just days after backing into a car in WeHo, Amanda Bynes’ car impounded for continued driving on a suspended license

Amanda Bynes, the celeb with lots of trouble staying out of trouble when behind the wheel, found more last week in West Hollywood.

TMZ reports that the actress was spotted in West Hollywood driving after her license had been suspended on August 25 for hit and run and a DUI charge.

As she apparently leaves no chance to pad her lawyer’s wallets, she allegedly backed her BMW out of a parking spot on Sunset Boulevard into the car behind her, causing minor damage.

Nevertheless, TMZ’s camera holder shot footage of Ms. Bynes shielding her face as she talked with the other car's driver, eventually leaving without exchanging information at the scene.

That followed the September 11 incident in which TMZ captured footage of her driving all around LA and smoking something unlikely to be tobacco out of a small single hit pipe.

Early this morning, at roughly 8:20 am near the Bob Hope Airport, Burbank Police stopped her after running her plates to cite her again for driving on a suspended license – but this time they impounded her car.

They issued her a citation.

Amanda Bynes has officially been charged with DUI after her arrest in April after she sideswiped a police car and allegedly attempted to flee the scene.

The charge comes after a slew of traffic incidents that demonstrate that one of Teen People's "25 Hottest Stars Under 25" in 2006 and Forbes’ fifth highest paid celebrity under 21, with earnings of $2.5 million, is challenged by wealth and celebrity - and maybe alcohol.

Beginning on March 7 , 2012 and leading through the month of May Ms. Bynes has had several incidents of note.

On March 7, she allegedly ran from an officer after a traffic stop in Hollywood, driving away from the scene.

Ms. Bynes was pulled over for talking on a cell phone while driving, and after the officer approached the car and collected all the starlet’s information she hit the gas and the bricks before the officer could give her the ticket to sign.

Ten days later TMZ cameramen recorded Ms. Bynes leaving a local club apparently intoxicated.

A cameraman warned the valet not to let her drive, but she drove off unimpeded (see TMZ video for more).

On April 6, 2012, Ms. Bynes was booked for driving under the influence after she hit a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle and then failed a DUI test around 3 AM at Robertson and Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.

According to the Sheriff, a Deputy in a marked black and white patrol car was stopped at the intersection of northbound Robertson Boulevard at Santa Monica Boulevard preparing to turn right.

It was at that point that a black BMW driven by Ms. Bynes attempted to pass to the right of the patrol car, colliding with the right rear quarter panel vehicle.

There was minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles.

She was detained for an investigation and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.

She paid a $5,000 and was released later that morning.

She reportedly tried to go partying again after her release from jail.

Eight days later, on April 14, she was arriving at Greystone Mansion and caught on camera again texting at the wheel and running up a curb in a red zone.

It did not take long for her to run into the law again, either. On May 4, Ms. Bynes was involved in a hit and run.

According to law enforcement, a man driving near the intersection of Crescent Heights Boulevard and Melrose Avenue claimed he was sideswiped by a Range Rover that was trying to pass him on the right.

When that SUV did not stop, the man reported a hit and run, but also followed the truck himself.

After a short chase in which a police chopper was dispatched, LAPD caught up with the SUV to find Ms. Bynes driving.

In June she was officially charged with one count of misdemeanor DUI in the West Hollywood incident— and the DA wants a sentence enhancement because the actress refused to take either a breathalyzer or a blood test at the scene.

Ms. Bynes pleaded not guilty Wednesday to driving under the influence during the April incident in which she allegedly struck an L.A. County Sheriff's Department car.

The not-guilty plea was entered in court by her attorney. Ms. Bynes did not appear in court.

She faces a minimum of 48 hours in jail and a maximum of 6 months.

In 2007, she spoke out against alcohol, saying, "...drinking isn’t good for you in every way. It’s not good for your skin; it makes you feel horrible."

But in the January 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan, she said, "I can have a drink and dance if I want. You have to go out to meet people and guys. I'm in that phase where I just want to have fun."

Amanda Bynes is scheduled to appear in court on September 21 for her DUI charges and September 27 to answer charges on two previous charges of hit and run.
