Actress gets taste of ugly WeHo neighbors

In a town of 35,000 people you’ll find your nice, neighborly folk and you’ll uncover some who should be left under their rocks.

Australian-born Rebel Wilson actress and "Bridesmaids" co-star Matt Lucas recently moved into a West Hollywood home and have found both, but ended up with one truly ugly neighbor.

She recently recounted her run in with the passive aggressive neighbor on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien."

Not long before the show, she and her roomy discovered an anonymous note in the mailbox of their house.

Ms. Wilson read the letter aloud on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and the two comedians got a real set of giggles over how "genuinely creepy" the neighbor seems.

We’ve transcribed the letter’s contents for you, but to really get the full effect we suggest viewing the video we embedded below.

Here’s what “Anonymous” had to tell Ms. Wilson and Mr. Lucas:

Dear neighbor,

I am living somewhere behind you.

I am glad you are enjoying your new pool and hot tub, but I am trying to sleep. I can hear everything you say, even the British accents.

If you continue to make noise past 10 p.m., I will call the cops.

We have rules here in West Hollywood. Seriously.

And stop singing show tunes from "Annie."

Both of you are way too old to ever be cast as child orphans.

The sun will come out tomorrow? Yeah, and so will the cops!

Welcome to the neighborhood.

West Hollywood is known as a worldly place, but this Wehoan apparently cannot tell the difference between English and Australian accents.

As you can see, Ms. Wilson gave the anonymous note all the respect it deserved (as does WeHo News to anonymous notes it gets, although our competition proudly runs them) – she mocked it and disregarded it.

Let’s hope the neighbor puts on their grown up pants and comes forward to truly welcome the couple to the neighborhood.
