In 2003, The West Hollywood City Council approved the Bicycle and Pedestrian Mobility Plan (“Bike Plan”).
This plan included the development of a bicycle network throughout West Hollywood that includes bicycle lanes, shared lane marking and bicycle parking.
In 2010, West Hollywood established the Bicycle Task Force to prepare a range of recommendations to improve bicycle mobility throughout the city.
The West Hollywood Bicycle Task Force Report [PDF] reaffirms and updates the Bike Plan to reflect community priorities.
Over the coming months, the City of West Hollywood plans to implement bicycle safety improvements to strengthen the quality of the city’s existing bicycle network and provide connectivity to regional facilities.
These include new bicycle lanes, share-the-road signage, bicycle parking facilities and safety message banners.

The Long Range & Mobility Planning Division is charged with evaluating opportunities to balance the needs of all transportation users – motorists, public transit, and bicyclists – and ensure all users understand safe road behavior and have adequate facilities to meet their needs.
The projects are being planned by the Long Range & Mobility Planning Division of the Community Development Department and implemented by the Department of Public Works. If you have any question, please email the Long Range & Mobility Planning Division.
