Despite the fact that federal regulations require it, can anyone read the mini-print on commercials for mortgages and loans?
How did that “Phillips lady” wanting to sell anti-constipation pills get on that airplane? Does she have a ticket? Does the TSA let her get by for the commercial? If she has a ticket, will passengers be subjected to her shrill spiel the whole trip?
Those auto dealers who think they’re doing employees a favor for making them stand outside and wave and/or yell: are they paying overtime? And, is work lagging for customers because of everyone’s being in front of the camera?
Why is that “synthetic” talking baby for e-trade getting such favorable response? I said it before: the stock market is not a child’s game.
Rizzoli & Ilesis not a bad show, but, since it is set in Boston why is there no one with that distinct Boston broad “A” in the cast?
Sundance and IFC channels used to feature esoteric domestic and foreign films all the time. So, why are we now getting commercials and strictly “B” movies and passé sitcoms?
If I were an agency executive, I’d fire the guy who dreamed up that Tostitos commercial which has an African-American actor yelling “Hoo-yah” at a cartoon figure of the package. Isn’t that demeaning?
How many people know what the word “iconic” means? So why use it in a Dodge commercial?
Why, in that man’s after-shave commercial showing Dad and son throwing and catching a baseball as they grow up and older in the middle sequence does Dad suddenly throw left-handed, and then in the final sequence goes back to being a righty?
If it weren’t for TelePrompter or cue cards, would there be any athletes in commercial?
Since everything from line-up to relief pitchers’ entrance now has a commercial sponsor, why has no pie company or shaving cream company thought to sponsor the “in-your-face” moments during post-game interviews?
Are you as tired as I am of seeing robotic children in commercials?

The public already rates car salesmen on par with politicians. But, why must car company commercials make them even more ludicrous? Doesn’t that potah-to-potay-to cackling salesman want to make you run to another dealer?
Do you agree with me that there ought to be an age restriction for children on TV “talent” shows and commercials? On talent shows, it’s unfair to reject a pre-teen, and for commercials, most kids are (1) not realistic and (2) exploited.
Don’t TV viewers realize that claiming one auto insurance company is cheaper than another goes by the boards when you have an accident. All insurance companies will then raise your premiums. And, am I alone in wishing Progressive would retire “Flo”?
As one who luckily escaped the Nazis before the Holocaust, am I alone in cringing at the statement in German car commercials about “German engineering.”? I still think crematoria and gas ovens.
Am I alone in feeling that at least two-thirds of Emmy nominees are not worthy of the attention?
If you have any TV unanswerable questions, don’t hesitate to send them along.
